Yeah you draw blood easier with a knife, but it draws red against the cornered rabbit who fights like a bull, your practically waving for a fight to happen.
And I'll one up you, if you can carry a knife easily, why not carry a sword in your jeans/trousers like the British memes I see?

Lol, he's not backing down this time.
And surprisingly, it's not out of confidence, that got shattered a few minutes earlier.
Let's fucking go

Thanks for the typesetting but at least proofread the MTL.
I got no proof readers sadly for this series. I reread it. Only 2 pages that looked a bit off and I fixed them myself. The rest maybe it’s just me, doesn’t read that horrible. My current translator claims they’re N3 in Japanese. Unfortunate, I don’t care enough for the series to find proof readers whether they’re using MTL or not. I’d be happy to give it to another group if they step up so I don’t have to do it anymore.

I know this is the author's big ahah against people who train but this is just so stupid. Would make much more sense if it's a guy who trains but extends his reach with weapons. Heck at least make the other guy hold a gun.
You're forgetting something very crucial, this is in Japan. It's a lot less likely in Japan to actually come across a weapon, so unlike in the west where a martial artist might have already faced a knife enough to be acclimatized, it's very unlikely in Japan. (Also the MC would stand no chance against a martial artist with a weapon)

Knife-fighting is straight up cultural in some places. In the southmost tip of South America, they traditionally fight with daggers or machetes in one hand and a big piece of cloth wrapped on the other hand.
With enough cloth, you can wrap it around your arm thick to parry blows, and leave some hanging on your hand to distract your opponent by "slapping" his face with the cloth.

it was always training with setsuna, and he ran away in the middle of it. now gotta think of his own anti knife strategy on the fly

I've done proofreading before, do you want me to give it a shot?
