It's pretty bizarre to me. Akita managed to learn the straight into same-side high kick from just watching the old man do it, not even knowing it's a very difficult move. He copied his straight off of the karate champ in his class too. It's like he learns faster from watching people rather than being told it (which might be the point - Miu wants him to fight her brother who can do anything with perfect form so Akita will copy those moves perfectly).

If Mitsuhara even knows about her brother it still doesn't matter, he isn't a genius fighter he's a genius everything and doesn't like fighting. He could never have gotten him to join, the brother doesn't even need the money.

Now why Mitsuhara didn't try to put Setsuna in his roster is a legitimate question but it's so weird that it has to be intentional. But we know why he put Akita in - to be a dick.

Also, good luck convincing or 'convincing' the brother to join, who's loaded, have a lowly opinion of fighting, and is a lawyer.
