Hahaha, she beat a pro from her country in chapter 13. It's not exciting, there's no development. It looked great... but if this happened so fast, what can we expect in the long run? It's worse when the author tried to respect the logic of real life, but for the blows she took, she wouldn't have to be standing anymore. I like the characters, but if I want to read something that's out of line without disappointing verses, I'd better watch Rokudou no Onna-taichi. At least there, the protagonist has some development before winning fights of that caliber.

Second of all those "don't make me see red" and crooks are two completely different types of people. Most crooks do not think "don't make me see red" and most "don't make me see red" people aren't crooks.

My final point(for now) is that sure, you don't need to be a top black belt to beat the average "don't make me see red" person but you do need some level of experience due to the fact that when desperate, people will start resorting to throwing stuff, biting, etc, which could be extremely dangerous if they get their hands on a weapon. As for crooks, you need to be a top black belt to beat them unarmed due to them almost always carrying weapons of some kind and often coming in groups. If they have a gun, you cannot beat them(unless you are able to dodge bullets point blank).

Which is part of why so many people in this day and age are obsessed with owning and walking around with firearms. OR more commonly why most of them just decide to run, especially if out numbered

However, at same time the same people don’t want ALL want to catch a body or a charge. So naturally basic nonlethal and none crippling but still effective means of subdoing a person are gonna have a place. Which is why I find the claim that learning practical unarmed fighting “is useless” ridiculous.

You and I both know when two people get into a knife fight(for example)nobody wins that scenario. Someone is going to bleed to death and the other is going to the hospital. So understandably, if the flight is still in the hand to hand phase, most people are either going to: de-escalate,run, or avoid escalating to weapon-based combat by settling things with words or straight hands. In this time and age I think most people probably won't bleed to death if they manage to call the hospital but I could be wrong. In my opinion the best way to resolve an argument is through either a skill based game, luck based game or just straight up monitored combat(with a referee and sparring tools if you want) but NEVER a street fight WITH weapons. Also in my opinion people should get something like a heavily modified bb gun instead of a real gun as if you modify it right it should be able to inflict pain equivalent or at least close to a bullet shot(which even if it's nowhere close it should be enough to disarm people) without the lethality of a real bullet. But then again, the current generation is really damn brainrotted so i wouldn't be surprised if people start doing something retarded like bringing a large scale bomb instead of a gun or something.
