There was a final volume planned but due Yuritarou potentially receiving a notice I believe chapter 12 attempts to condense everything within 40 or so pages.

Some unique worldbuilding undermined by this guy saying some completely unhinged, heinous shit that's glossed over because he comes to his senses a moment later. The power of the axe, maybe?

I liked the premise but I personally never felt any real pull from this story, unlike Kaya-chan which had me obsessed. Understandably an incredibly tough act to follow.

Anko-chan's first chapter was cute but it's a romcom with a relationship built on maintaining a lie, so who knows how much I'll enjoy it.

I hope it does well, I hope the author has fun making it, and I hope everyone else has fun translating it and reading it, though.

Feel like the problem is that the tone/character design philosophy they're using works really well if the focus is on little kid(s) but not so good if it's on a male and female lead.

In Anko's case it feels weird because she's sorta depicted like a kid and sorta depicted like someone who could date the dude she likes.

Kingyo is better but it sorta feels like they made her backstory too dark? Like I look at how they generally like to resolve things on a positive note without super punishing anyone and that seems pretty hard to reconcile with what we've seen of her memories.

Feel like they'd be better off keeping it at around Wakeari Shinrei Mansion level, where some characters have backstories that are sad/dark but none of them are particularly sordid.

I remember Yuritarou mentioning that they'd like to forget their previously darker and sexually charged works so perhaps it's (Anko and Kaya's) just the direction they want to go in from now on.
