Eh? The amount of effort that they invest does not determine the value to the reader. The scanlator has been informed that, for many of us, that value is less than the cost of [more] Discord clutter. Now, we could just have stayed silent, and left the scanlators to guess or to wonder, but we informed them. They can now decide that we aren't worth their concern, or they can exercise the option of posting elsewhere.

Out of curiosity, I tried visiting cubari.moe/. It wouldn't even load for me. So, even if I the links could be found without Discord, I wouldn't be reading manga on Cubari.

how come you don't plan to post on comick as well? joining a million discords or saving a million cubari links is a major pain in the ass for anyone who reads a lot of different titles at the same time...

The biggest problem is that you can't even join million discords, you're limited to 100 servers (200 with nitro). And yeah, cubari simply doesn't work for huge amount of users.

I don't think it's for any other reason beyond them wanting the numbers. They want more attention and suckups to join their stupid little club and fawn over them. These aren't going to be nuked like the other series, this is purely selfish narcissism.

I appreciate all the work and time the various scan groups are doing. If they don't want to take their time to put them on an aggregate site with large visibility to tens of thousand and instead remain in their walled garden that only see a few dozens or so visitors that is their choice since its their work and time. They've got their reasons for wanting it that way and without knowing those since they didn't explain, I'll hold any judgement rather just be sad its turned out that way.

However, consider that readers of manga are often following dozens if not over a hundred ongoing manga not just this one or a couple of others. All of which it is not uncommon for them to update irregularly or with frequent interruptions from being dropped by groups after a handful of chapters. Its not immature to want to be able to effectively track or follow all those manga in a single convenient place they can check for updates in at quick glance rather than turning it into a lengthy session jumping between multiple sites/discords/emails/etc. trying to find out if you've missed a chapter translation.

what truly is immature are these posts of clueless people who don't respect the time of others. just cause something is free doesn't mean you can't be unsatisfied, one of the biggest misconceptions mankind has ever seen.
