On the other side, maybe staying with Shino'oka is what Reiji needs for now. Possibly, a certain someone is there too.

One corner of my mind feels Reiji's parenthood may be included in this revelation, maybe the final one.

The possibilities here aside, they're in a good position to have a ton of very interesting conversations. As much as she's grown in the time since, there were undeniably moments in Shino'oka's life (as far as we've seen expressed by Esemori) where she both resented and had some understanding of Yuko. I really can't think of anyone better for Reiji to be talking to in this moment. Very excited for next chapter
