Still, Nagi being at the ping pong club is Reiji's fault. The other painful truth he had to face: the person he still had some trust despite of being the worst adult is actually that crazy and obsessed with him in the bad way and would have done something that terrible.

Since the very beginning Reiji was interested on why she is too set on dying and had that desire to see her real persona. And even though he got embittered after realizing she wasn't his angel of death, but another vulnerable person with actual reasons to die and didn't want to care about, he ended up getting tangled again after that trip to Tokyo.

He also told Chako why he was that fixated with Nagi before stabbing himself. Something like Nagi making him realize he didn't actually know if he was alive or not.

Gotta be honest, Reiji doesn't see the other girls the way he sees Nagi.
