Is the FMC the same girl that appears to the MC in his dreams? What is happening here? Why he needs to take "his girl" to the chief? Why isn't any scanlator getting this? I need answers!

she's not 'his' (yet), more likely he just fell for her when they were younger, but didn't know/remember which family she was from

his master probably doesn't know about the dark side of duke of brittany (killing her father), so it's probably either a coincidence or some nefarious political plot of duke's

They might instead use it as an opportunity for a love triangle, but I really doubt it. Having them be the same person nicely sets up a future conflict between his future career and his past promise, in addition to the conflict between his honour and true justice. It also sets him up to be the competitor to the powerful future duke, making room for him to gain allies and potentially rival him, though I suspect any ending will just be the “peaceful recluse” as opposed to “became the new duke”.
