The phrasing last chapter was not specific about who they want to crush. The panels showing our group made it seem like they mean them, but they could be referring to someone else, maybe the monster guy's group. But I could be reaching here, because I like the witches.

I'm suspecting the guy is an illusion, and this is the magical milfs trying to crush them. They're able to mess with others senses and perception, they probably crush people by scaring them away or into accidents/suicide.
