also (this might be a bit of a streach) For how "Y" talks about themselfs it makes me think that "Y" isn't a person, but rather an idea. ANy person that possess the thoughts and the memories of "Y" becomes Y, lIke the memories inside Y are so complex that when you see them, you become him, not because you want ot you were forced to become that, its just the natural result of seen the memories (if you survive, it seems only a few poeple can become "Y"). that would make each "Y" a bit different but they all have the same thought, the same objective... Maybe im reading way to much in to a simple dialong, but that would be interesting
