He really was a terrible father this entire time Im so glad she's gotten a resolution that feels like it could end with her happiness.

Thank you for translations! A very satisfying chapter and also, I didn't realize Marie have slimmed down until it was pointed out.

I'm more curious on how big is this bird graveyard to be able holding human skeletons.

Thats the thing, its been YEARS since she died and buried, so only skeleton remains (as stated), the moment the curse break, its just bird skeleton morph into human, if they did a shallow grave, at the very least you'll see a small bulge increase, if its deep, then it wont change much at all until you dig it

I feel bad for the mother tho, it seems she realize at one point its wrong to obtain love via sorcery and stopped doing it, (thats when the husband stick around at house less and keep working abroad more, and she sees the reality of everything), she also seems to not be one of those typical trope of evil and horrible step mother, she seems to treat our FMC very well and tried to be good mother to her

and at the end she feel its so wrong to leech everything so far and tried to convince her daughter, her flesh and blood to abandon this family and return to their home country, only to be betrayed by her and get cursed, she tried so hard to make people notice her, I guess thats when the accidental bird cage fall happen

The thing is I dont think bird will die if theyre properly in cage , at the very least just injured, unless theyre purposely drop at a very high place on purpose and that makes methinks the evil villain did it but convince herself over and over its an accident

And there's a possibility that the bird did transform back into human while there's still meat intact. Like it didn't wait to be just only skeleton. If the grave is shallow, they should smell the corpse. OR the witch daughter did something to the grave, but that's unlikely since the butler can dig the grave just fine.

And then it begs a question, in every story about witches, they seem to have countermeasures against curses and their own magic. Why she let her daughter turned her into a bird without a struggle?

Simple enough, betrayal, how would she ever expect her daughter, the one she gave birth to, the fruit of her love (even tho one sided with her charmed-ridden husband), her flesh and blood

How would she ever expect a simple question and decision to stop being bad human being and return to her homeland can result her being hexed and killed

They say all parents thought their children are angel despite they misbehaving outside their parent's vision

Yeah, well, i am expecting the daughter is way stronger than the mother or something like that, but i guess that can do too.

I can't agree more with the child behaves like angel inside the house, but demon outside. It got several teacher in my country into problem with police for disciplining that kind of kid. Manipulative little brat, telling a lie in such age and ruin people lifes.
