He's either too stupid, too lazy, or the final boss is just that much more of a threat. Or it could be a combination of those things. Even if he wanted to be leader, he would have to deal with almost the entirety of the class since the current leader is so good at manipulating and controlling them.

Well… I’ll admit I didn’t see that one coming. It does however seem to answer a question and lets us ask a few new ones.
First of all, the leaf he ate before was actually a video game recovery item akin to either an HP or SP/MP/AP recovery disposable.

Then the questions become:
How often can he switch between abilities he actively uses?
Is there a cooldown on an ability once he unequips it?
Does each power need to cooldown before being used again?

I doubt they could do anything to her back then since they can't do anything to her now, but they're desperately trying. I'm certain it's going to be a "They tricked me" or "went behind my back and took these powers" kind of deal, but the fact they even got considered for this was insane enough as it is. The idea of her being just being a gruesome idiot just makes too much sense.
