If im the manipulator i would simply soft manipulating. Learn to simply do something under a min or 2 then make the controlled person forget.

To be fair, they were never that smart to begin with. That's the sole thing keeping this girl's genuinely OP power in check.

It's never stated explicitly. From the flashbacks we see that they were just a bunch of brats from the privileged backgrounds who were encouraging each other's worst tendencies, especially while bullying Hirota (MC).

As for Hirota, he's not that crazy. Most of his punishments are literally just leaving the bastards in hands of their victims or letting them experience the same thing they did to their victims.
