It's unfortunate it's orphaned for now - the story became legitimately compelling at Chapter 44 or so. Too bad I don't have the Japanese language skills to read the raws.

Comically evil bullies? Check. Revenge plot? Check. Rape? Check. Generic revenge story, a must read if you're into this type of stuff.

It's a little nuts to say, but at least by the 40's the story does act like a proper fantasy with crafty villains, schemes, misapprehensions, reversal of fortunes, loss of comrades, etc. I don't like the constant sexual peril and rape-by-conquest, but at least that's often secondary to the central question: how the Hell is he going to topple the core group?
