Man that guy really has a bad luck. Thing would have been different if he talked about the money issue when the friend wasn't with his mistress.

I don't see anything sad about it. The culprit is sleazy, and the old lady is greedy. They all have to pay a price for their bad choices.

What can be called a tragedy is the Interference chapter: a young man had to give up his dream (football) against his choice (injury). He mingled with bad guys, couldn't get out and got killed.
