Man...I get that he doesn't really need the rings to enjoy himself. But why would he just toss it away? There are actually people that need it (donate to people in need rather than trashing it).

Bertha (lone survivor of the academics) should definitely get one.

So the guy really was chasing after someone with a dead body tied on him? The corpse looked like it weighed around 60-70 kg. Now Imagine running while having a 60 kg weight strapped on your body. At the very least, he would've looked a little bit sluggish even if you take the poncho into account.

He also had to do something regarding the corpse's legs. Unless the guy was actually much taller than the victim, the victim's legs would be sticking out under the poncho. If he just tied up the legs in a folded position, rigor mortis would've set and that would make the corpse look rather unnatural after he threw it towards Shinra.

Gah after binging the whole series that's a really unsatisfying end. The ring had been nothing but good this whole time but the moment it become a problem, boom, no one can have it. Even his argument two chapters ago about how they can't guarantee the ring be monopolized by one person just reinforce that his 3 fathers made a mistake by giving them all to Shinra and rather than figure out a solution he just chucks them off.
I get they're trying to go with 'this is too dangerous for mankind' angle but it just doesn't hit at all here
