Kaph thinking too much. In my oppinion Leander believes in his genuine care for Fran so much she passed all of her money for FRAN but the rights to Kaph just to manage it.

Leander was a whimsical woman who has shown to feel remorse after abandoning Fran, i think this is just her way of caring about Fran and Kaph.

Damn this story is good. I kinda wish to see a lot of this animated.
@Lililily I don't think Kaph is wrong, but it is ocnveniently "kills two birds with one stone". You see, she could just let all her assets to Fran and Kaph would still technically manage all the inheritance as guardian, but everything was left to him specifically and forbidden to give away indefinitely (meaning even when Fran grows up he can't have it for himself).
There are also couple of technical sides of it, like avoiding conflict over Fran's guardian position or question of giving assets of a noble house to lowborn, but as it is not mentioned at all, I guess it's unfair to dig into it.

@kwendy that's exactly it? Leander knows Kaph inside out like the back of her hand and plays him between her fingers all this time, as he said it himself he could never went against her wish.

That's exactly what she wants, she wants Kaph to take full control of her money because at this point she knows, Kaph will never abandon Fran, because that's just the kind of man Kaph is. It doesnt matter if the money never gets to Fran or never be inherited by Fran, because Kaph will live for Fran as Fran will live for Kaph. Of course I think, just like Fran, Leander would be happy if Kaph uses her money for himself because he clearly deserves it and in her own way she likes Kaph too.

It might not be mentioned, but the author has laid out so much personality into Leander, Fran and Kaph in this last few chapters, I don't think it's fair not to dig a bit behind the author's unwritten intention.

@Lililily Did she knew Kaph inside out though? Remember that she just left Fran in his care and never looked back, she could not have known for sure if their relationships are what they actually are.
Though it is great bonus that it was the case.

@kwendy they knew each other well and long enough for Leander to let only Kaph saw her Cry from baby blues.(reference: 1st ch of this arc) And long enough for Kaph to fall in love with Leander.

She knows him well enough to leave her child with him because she knew he will take care everything that is *dirty* genuinely and wont be able to say no to her, but she too loves what's dirty, it's part of the curse of the pigs.

@kwendy welp I admit my mistake in my choice of words which exudes exaggeration or hyperbole, I apologize for making misunderstandings, but my point still stands

Kaph can't refuse her, that's exactly why she left Fran with him, Leander knows he can't, and it's against his will, but it works just as she wanted, just like how he took care of those filthy pigs, he took care of filthy toddler Fran, and not able to abandon Fran or neglect him, he raised Fran with love. He genuinely love him, just like he genuinely love those filthy pigs Leander kicks, and just like when Leander brings those filthy pigs she kicked sweet potatoes, she gave Kaph money to buy a patch of sweet potato field with extra tips because it is due time for her to cancel the curse of the pigs but in this case the curse of the Fran.

And how do Leander know Kaph wont be able to abandon Fran and not doing it out of obligation or a job given from a noble? Leander knows his kindness and integrity, the reference is from part 1 of leander doesn't cry. She said, He's the only warm spot of sun in the cold northen field, that speaks a lot in itself.

@Lililily Just to be clear: I don't claim she does not care about Fran, I only think the priority lied about the same as narrative suggests it is.
