The official website of the Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi 2 (Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2) television anime revealed additional cast, theme songs, a key visual (pictured), and the main promotional video on Friday. The anime adapting Eguchi's adventure gourmet light novel will premiere on October 8 at 12:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks.

Singer CENT (Cent Chihiro Chittiii) will perform the opening theme "yummy goodday," with female rap duo chelmico (Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! opening) will perform the ending theme "SALT AND PEPPER." Both songs are previewed in the promotional video below.
Kiyoshi Matsuda (Re-Main) is returning to direct the second season at MAPPA, with assistant director Kenji Takahashi (Spy x Family). Michiko Yokote (Ruri no Houseki) is handling the series composition. Nao Ootsu (Beastars), Tsuyoshi Kuwahara (Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai: The Clouds Gather) are designing the characters. Masato Kouda (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!), Kana Utatane (Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!), Kuricorder Quartet (Tsuritama) are composing the music.
The first anime season aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs.
Eguchi began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2016. Overlap began printing the series under its Overlap Novels label in November that year, featuring illustrations by Masa (Warau Arsnotoria Sun!). The 16th volume went on sale in December 2024, with the 17th volume planned for a September 25 release.
Akagishi K (Sabikui Bisco) began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo website in March 2017. The eleventh volume shipped on July 25.
J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga in English in March 2019 and April 2020, respectively. The 15th novel volume was released last September, with the tenth manga volume released on January 15. The company also releases the Sui no Daibouken (Sui's Great Adventure) spin-off manga in English.
