I love Clover !
No shock and surprise, she had the slowest start do to not knowing her power was shield while everyone else had attack or healing that was obvious from the start! Then as usual the HATERS were the LOUD Minority who never relented even AS she got better and even DEGRADED her progress either for the EVULZ or because they didn't want to look like fools after dogging her! She likely has a QUIET Majority of those she saved who either never got involved in the forums (cause don't feed the haters) or never if RARELY bought her merc because "why" yeah fans will be fans. But they gave their QUIET support to her....which is WHY the Loud Minority's assessment of her is so prominent
But as the story showed, the ones who's opinion matter is her friends, HER TEAM! Red also helped by being an OUTSIDER who told her she was great! It was That and their relationship that started chipping away at her doubt and FINALLY stop seeing her friends TELLING HER she is great as not them "just saying it to be nice!"
It's also why she got her by her "playing decoy" on her own! HER need to PROVE herself when she already proved herself and should trust her friends more instead of trying to PROVE to Haters not to hate! That's ALWAYS doomed to fail! The ones who could be convinced aren't REAL haters! But Haters will NEVER change their minds even WHEN you prove otherwise and the Majority SHOUT THEM DOWN! Just look at JJJ with Spider-Man! Sans the Ultimate Universe, the man is ADAMENT Spider-Man is a menace and nothing will prove otherwise! He at LEAST has postives in that he WON'T write lies about Spider-Man (as what happened when Eddie Brock gave him bullshit pictures that proved his bias but were done in some version or EDITTED in others to get that result, something that goes AGAINST his professiolism, and when proven, didn't need prompting to admit his mistake, even if grumbling about it! Other "haters" though are stubborn and assholes who will never change their minds, especially if they were heavily invested that they made their IMAGE off of in this case "Hating on Clover and wished she'd go away!" As if the narrative shifts, they'll look like the loud minority that they are and look silly....soo they double down and make it worse when they can no longer control the narrative!
Shouldn't be too hard to shift her image really! The only reason "Clover sucks" is so strong is because of her meekness and her accomplishments being downplayed or ignored by her Haters because no one is ACTIVELY countering them! The second they are countered, It should cause their narritive to collapse because most who hear about Clover are those who haven't seen her or her actions, so assume the haters have a point, or do but as said above. They're not a presence online or countering. So the haters control the narrative, and the Narrative is "Clover sucks and she should just LEAVE to make the Team BETTER" (Like they even KNOW what would make the Team better! I'm reminded as a laugh of a fanfic where the ASSHOLE Marvel Civilians finally get what they want, "no more heroes" and ALL the big threats like FUCKING Galactus show up as they start their CRYING and realizing "Help isn't coming" LOL! Turns out all that SHIT they believed would come about if the Heroes never existed was just a fantasy they doubled down on as to not humiliate themselves! And well they don't need to feel humilated they were wrong, they'll be too dead and/or enslaved to really be able to care about that). The Team works BECAUSE everyone does their part and their aren't any useless members! But the idiot mindset of "what is useful" is out and about!
Can't wait till someone humiliates Clover's haters or the next "Clover should just die" asshole gets SHUT DOWN (by someone calling them out for saying clover sucks AFTER they, someone else or a child got saved by her, yet they have the BALLS to still act like a Hater! Humiliating them!) but I guess that's how it is! We LOVE Clover cause she is the underdog! Not getting the credit she deserves do to the haters getting her rep about before people even got to SEE how good she is, yet even after all that, she is STILL doing her best!
