I remember reading this years ago and it being weird, trippy, kinda heartfelt and strangely engaging. I also recommend setting aside an afternoon to read it all in one sitting, it just works better.

Weird indeed, not just the plot but the drawings too. f.e. background is often empty which seems to increase the weirdness somehow. Reading it in one go is indeed recommended.
