Americans can't accept anything in proper order. They need to make things weird to fit their taste.
Most pointless systems in the U.S. exist for hype moments and aura.
Pounds are about half of a kilogram, it exaggerates the number so americans think "damn, I need to lose weight"
Fahrenheit makes summers temps around 90-100 degrees, so people checking the weather will think "jesus christ thats hot"
Don't ask about the freezing temperature.
Feet and inches make telling human height a lot simpler, compared to centimeters being precise and hard to tell whats in what category
Miles sounds better than kilometers and thats that
American Paper's measurements look a lot cleaner in America Units while A4 paper doesn't.
MM/DD/YYYY is also just better, and cleaner.
In other words, #AmericaWins

To be fair if I was in some emergency mission impossible type of situation where I have to quickly let someone know a date which could be any day in history starting from 1 AD with a possibility of being interrupted midway then using YY/MM/DD would be better because if I say the year then you only have to search ~365 dates whereas a month first could have at least 2026×28 possible dates and date first would have have even more. Idk why I think like that.

But DD/MM/YY just feels better to write with and its also in ascending order while MM/DD/YY looks weird but sounds good in speech.

YY/D:M.M-YD#Y is my prefered format
What is that???

What calendars do y'all use other than the Gregorian one?

For example, today would be 20/1:0.3-22#6
