Same thing's been happening to me, sometimes they don't come across. I think it happens when your unread message list is overloaded?

i have zero unread messages at all times. that red dot cannot escape me.

I honestly don't know what causes it exactly, it's inconsistent. Like you, sometimes I don't have anything unread, yet sometimes messages don't arrive.

Incorrect. I can always put on another layer, but I'm only willing to take off so much. Hence, cold weather is better.

Wearing extra layers in the winter is such a pain in the ass though. I'll rather stick to warmer weather.

In general, you should only receive one notification of new content for threads, even if there are 9999 new posts. Of course, mentions, reactions and quotes to your posts are not included
