His idea was that the swimsuit would have an explosive impact on fashion!!! just like the bombs had a powerful impact on the world. The term caught on, and over time, “bikini” became the widely accepted name for that specific style of swimwear. So next time you see someone rocking a bikini, just remember, it’s called that because it was meant to blow people away!!
