Her publisher already knows about MD. Her publisher also knows that MD, unlike most overseas sites, will comply with DMCAs, which means that's the end of the line for any action with respect to MD - there will be no recoup of 'lost revenue' by going that route.

Her publisher has some idea how much actual revenue is coming in from the foreign market because of scanlation posting on sites like MD driving sales, and while her publisher may say they don't care about that money, we all understand that's a bold-faced lie.

Her publisher is also keeping track of how many people are complaining about the actual content of the ending... which appears to be a non-trivial portion of the posts.

I'm not particularly concerned about it.
