Weren't you there when it happened? Well, it was back in October when @Madologist was spamming everyone profile posts with this message over and over for a bit (also a few unrelated forum threads).

At one point he decided to do it to a mod (might have been two of them) and apparently this got him banned for 6 months. He later complained in the MangaDex Discord on how it's unfair when it should have been just a month at most, afterwards the ban went permanent.

On today's episode of [That Forum Regular Should've Really Known Better!], Spamming forum mods and proceeding to beef with them. ૮ <ᆺ< ა

Oh, I completely forgot about it. Yes, it was like that, but recently I was just thinking "it's strange not seeing Mad-kun posting here and there".

only learning this now too. perhaps we aspiring lorebeards could benefit from a standalone Forum Cemetery thread

You could just daisy chain the posts via links - 60 day limit for editing, so if you point to a new 'top post' from the prior one every 56 days (8 weeks), you can work through the thread to the current 'top post' in fairly short order.

the option when creating a thread to maintain editing privileges on the original post would be a good addition imo. think of all the possibilities
