Depends on what I'm watching.

Some tech channels are useful for getting information about any new products coming out. Though it's pretty annoying that companies will send them shit for review while the actual consumer can't get the same product anywhere near MSRP because of scalpers and supply issues. Plus their opinions can be pretty insightful and valid.

I'll listen to some true crime stories as well, but these a basically just podcasts.

There's a few people I know who do some Twitch and Youtube gaming stuff, so I'll check in on what they're doing every now and then.

I don't generally watch suggestions, but Shurap (the Ukrainian knife smith) is amazing, and I get a grin every time I hear 'This is the Lock Picking Lawyer' because he's about to make someone look very bad at building locks.

Vtubers are the less idiotic streamers in this world, except maybe those who try to talk about politics like Kirsche. Which is kind of a shame. Or it's just not the same kind of idiocy, i don't know that much about idocy since i'm very intelligent and French.

Personally, on Youtube, i watch only scientific communication, speedruns and sometimes vtubers, but i don't do streamers. Don't do streamers, kids, it's bad for your brain.

Free entertainment, and just because a few YouTubers/streamers post idiotic content does not mean all of them do the same thing.

I don't think I watch any streamer with exception of neuro-sama, do people like noriyaro count as streamer? Generally I can find some amusing when they do something stupid or whatever, it doesn't matter if it's amusing, but I don't go out of my way to find that content, it's often forwarded to me on insta, or shows up on Twitter, formerly X.

also, damn, there's way too many villain isekai nowadays what's up with that. at least it's slightly more entertaining than the industry/minecraft-like ones, most are pretty bad.

Personally, I only watch YouTube and YT shorts for entertainment.
Youtuber like SOG, Fireship, Penguinz0, PhoenixSC and some French tech youtuber like Micode, Sylveqin, TheGreatReview, Ego...
And I often watch shorts from Camman18, MaxTheMeatGuy, Lionfield and their antagonists (Chef Rush, Bayashi,...)
(Yeah my recommendation feed goes wild sometimes)

But I don't watch stream.
Why?
I think I don't have enough attention span to watch a 6 or 7 hour stream from a vtuber/streamer.
I appreciate their work (heck I recently started to listen to Towa-sama music), but watching a streamer playing a game, yapping about non-sense or watching and peeping a vtuber seems kinda boring for me.

There's a word for that, it's not hardcore fan or whatever, it's masochist. I can attend all kind of "boring" events such as seminars, conferences, congresses, etc. that last for eight hours (including breaks of course) per day and as long as it's properly done I don't need any distraction. Same goes for long art works/plays and any activity that asks for concentration. But watching someone that struggles making coherent sentences? I can throw peanuts for one or two minutes IRL until I leave, but at home there's a marvellous command called Ctrl + W. So no, there's no problem with your concentration spawn in this sense.
