Can't believe I'd miss the time when the forums was kinda slow, laid back and chill. Now it feels like a busy day on a metro station.

(Also, Bot vs. MD was pretty fun arc, alright.)

I've heard news that they have bots of all of us, soon we'll be replaced like what happened to the V3 regulars. There will be no more slow days, but in exchange it will be A.I. SLOP.

Leaving that random shitty topic behind, I wanted to say that I actually planned something big for the regulars on #5K for making this lace really feel like safe escape. (Actually, how the fuck did we reach 5,115 already?) but couldn't post it because of the time constraint and the fast moving chat, so I might post it on my 5K message anniversary.

I saw that - having a truly epic fight take most of a session is a rare but fulfilling experience! I have a few stories of my own from groups over the years - I may type one of those out tonight and put it in a thread somewhere (I think there's a couple D&D threads in the gaming forums, but I might just start an 'epic gaming story thread' if there's not something suitable already).

(All American bands, very garage-y, but definitely philosophically metal)

Iron Butterfly
Steppenwolf
(both more polished and kind of one-hit wonders, but have a lot of good material if you get into their albums)

Uriah Heep, through about Sweet Freedom (they get kinda proggy on the last few)
Deep Purple mk 2 (In Rock -> Who Do We Think We Are)
(tend to get written off as not 'pure metal', but some good stuff there)
