back when I used to live in a school hostel (dorms but way shittier and cheaper), the neighbouring room had parties 24/7 from 9 p.m. to I can't remember how long

holy shit, you have no idea how loud some of their parties can get with their speakers constantly pumping music

it got to the point that none of my roommates (and probably everyone within a 300m radius of that room) could sleep

so one of my roommates finally had enough and filed a noise complaint against the people inside that room, to which they first kept quiet, but after a few weeks, they went back to partying like nothing happened

I moved out of those dorms soon enough, can't tell if the school actually did something about it or not

all I know is that I don't want to be anywhere near a party anymore

Second (sophomore) year, first semester, the floor above mine in the dorm had about 8 guys total (16 room floor, supposed to be 2 guys per room). One long party the whole semester.

Second semester there was one guy on the floor.

originally, I was going to make a response edit to this, saying something like:

What? No, you perv~ I mean taking over the MangaDex Union after the forum members' revolt and turn it into a capitalist paid site with currencies you have to buy with real money to read a single chapter of a single manga?

No. The actual 10k was by @DavidianMillerian , who posted an edit of his character holding up 10k. Some staff did shenanigans where they tried (and failed) to lock the thread at 9999. It instead just deleted David's post, the real 10k.

BartBart Barty did lock the thread, but because of the kindness in his heart (paying him off) he chose to unlock it after 20 minutes. What a kind mod! Let's give him a round of applause!
