Gift cards? That sounds like a scam man.

That is, quite literally, one of THE most common scams known to man.

then DM me about it, told me to ask for the IT guy in DC to help revoke the ban but for some verification they need me to buy some gif card and they say they'll refund it for me. suck a bollocks way to verify things.

I'd never know that. I'm on Twitter since 2009, and alot of people I know there experienced much shit and I helped them to lift the ban with just a single email and the ban lift in 3-5 days. TF is that mean gift card?!!
Please share the details about it, and the account who reported you and screenshot their DM and send it to me, or to my discord much faster I guess.

Jim Browning does a lot of videos on common scams, one of them being how scammers use gift cards as a payment. Maybe try watching some of his videos to be informed?
