unfortunately it evolve into convoluted mess as times goes. Mutant hero often prioritize their own fellow. The message turn from about inclusion of a group and proving that mutant can coexist with human to exclusion in some way.

Like mutant can be cure, the collar and the gun. I watch X-Men 97 where storm got shot by the cure gun and make her unable to use her power.

They didn't have to kill the kid!! And Professor X can detect every mutant on earth, why don't sent people before it activate and kill people? 🤦‍♂️

So the same problem with batman.
I remember the tumblr post where all of the history amounted to the fact that what bruce wayne did would've fixed any town, but gotham city is on several cursed location and is a uber-shithole with also multiple organisations fully intent on making it as worse as possible

Reading things like absolute Batman is better because it's neat and there is no need to read 80+ of story that convoluted between what's cannon and what's not.


I'd rather reading comic about obscure superhero that's have very nice story. Because they are niche and unpopular their story may or may not be more compact and better. The popular one is fun too, but because the writer were ever changing the character core always shaky.

This YouTuber is one of the best out there, deep dive into the characters and what they do. I've been enjoying his video so much.
