Pirate first, if you really like it, buy it. If you can't afford it buy it once it is on sale. Do it with steam games.

I think it's because you kie in today era when all the accomodations is make easier than decade years ago when you need to watch anime on youtube with twenties part with tiny screen with 114p resolution.

I know what you're talking about, thank god I was late enough to not experience that

But it was so fun. I remember trying to find all the episodes for Familiar of Zero on YouTube back in 2007, and then discovering a comment chain under one of the parts with many users arguing about who was best girl that spanned like 100+ replies.
and this was back when you couldn't actually reply on YouTube, so you'd just see disjointed comments @ing eachother. It was so chaotic.
