I'm going to make a radical suggestion at this point:

Move on. Get back to our regular schedule of shitposting, etc., and let the incident pass.

Mistakes were made. Hopefully the MD staff will take some time to assess what happened and consider what can be done on their side to handle these situations in a manner less likely to incite a shitstorm next time. (I will again reiterate my suggestion to staff that a user-facing PR person/team would be a good way to do this.)

In the meantime, those of us not on staff can at least have the grace to not continue to pile on the situation.

Problem I'm seeing is that there doesn't seem to be a will on staff's side to reform, from the little I've seen.
The problem child still seems to have free reign and nothing shows she learned a lesson or reflected on her behaviour being one of the main reasons behind this entire mess.
