I'm pinging you here because your profile is locked. I looked through the first volume of Lord of Mysteries, which has 2 thousand pages. Is this correct? And are there nine volumes?

9 x 2000 = roughly 18000 pages??

Reading this much is too daunting of a task!

Um... Not exactly. The first three volumes are bigger than the rest.
The final few volumes have only around 100 chapters each while the first three volumes have over 200.
Most chapters are about 7 pages each for me but not all of them is uniform.
By the middle of volume 4 you'd have crossed the halfway point in length.
I'll explain it in more detail if you want to (mon profil est ouvert) or maybe I'll post it under that thread.
There's also pacing to consider.

The Reader Pathway represents the search for knowledge. In contrast to Hermit Pathway and Paragon Pathway, this pathway includes both scientific and mysticism knowledge. Beyonders of this pathway have a good memory and the ability to imitate others' powers by analysis. They are also skilled in ritual magic.

At High-Sequences, they can see the future, directly observe, analyze and use the fundamental laws of reality, and "read" all information about a person.

The Tarot card for the Tower actually represents disaster. This was selected by the author because in Lord of Mysteries, knowledge is also dangerous. Knowing high-level knowledge without sufficient protection could lead to corruption from various sources.

What's weird is that this is potentially one of the best pathways with it's sequence 6 Polymath being able to analyse all kinds of abilities and create their own spells with what they understand. And they can basically know everything before it happens and have the ability to make the best decisions.
Its actually quite neglected by author.
And the slander...

I think the old final ritual involved constructing a giant white tower, filling it with books containing all of one's (as a semi-omniscient being) knowledge and then swallowing it. I wonder why it was changed?
