I don't know about others, but I report stuff that needs corrections like missing links, volume covers, raws, etc. Here's a page of examples if you are curious:

Is not having a myanimelist link that bad? I didn't use it cause they are like Mangaupdates in how they reject nearly all non commercial titles.

I don't think it's bad. However, if there is a MAL page, it's nice to have the link. The same goes for the other sites
