I still think it's crazy that the anime adaption actually followed the BAD END from the game, you don't see many adaptions do that, other from School Days.

Oh there's a manga adaptation? neat, but I want to experience the original first. Plus, as stated earlier, i'm quite horrible with reading manga...

Yeah, the manga adaptions are pretty faithful. Some scenes are even enhanced in the manga.
All I can tell him right now is that I would recommend getting the 07-Mod since it patches in the consoles sprites + all the soundtracks from the different versions. There's some other stuff I would like to talk about, but I'll hold off until he decides whether or not he'll play it.

Eh, I wouldn't say he's dumb. How it's set up would make even the reader believe they are the same person from what we see, so it makes sense why Keiichi wouldn't put two and two together. Not even the other members of the club thought they were two different people.
I've watched the first 2 seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen, and I liked them. I dropped Demon Slayer because, in my opinion, it was too repetitive, using the same formula over and over again
