When it comes to using the seven deadly sins as a base for characters, would you rather have characters that struggle with the sin or draw the sin out of others?

It feels pretty inconsistent across multiple franchises where you kinda get a mix of the two

If the intention is for the sins to be acted upon in the story, having them draw the sin out of others (whether knowingly or unknowingly) provides more to work with, to my mind. Particularly if the sin characters are 'against type' - having lust be a plain chaste mob-type girl, or gluttony be someone perpetually underweight who never eats, but having them subtly nudge other characters toward their sin in one way or another.

I think characters who make other people go crazy with sins are cooler but the former can be done well also.
