Anybody got good dumb fireworks stories?

One year while I was in college, a few of us got a pack of cheap little bottle rockets and went driving outside of town, figuring it would be cool to light them up and shoot them out of the car after sundown. The first one we lit we naturally aimed forward. It got out about ten feet in front of the car before it ran out of propellant. We caught up with it and it exploded right as it bounced off the windshield, leaving all of us temporarily blinded on a mountain road at about forty miles an hour at night.

We didn't shoot any more off from the moving car.

Most I got to tell is how some dumb neighbor kid nearly blew his fingers off, he managed to keep them only because my uncle is a doctor, so he quickly patched up the "dangling bits" before the ambulence arrived, which helped the healing process.

No, that was the summer I worked sound at a music camp, and we had the technical staff on one side and all of the college vocal campers on the other. My college was way too small for frats.
