Like I said before: I love how this manga is so light and fluffy on the surface while actually going very deep about how each of these characters experience and deal with their affliction. Just like Yuki, Maron is in a bleak place because she became afflicted with Catulus Syndrome. But while Yuki's feelings of inferiority made her more open to attempts from others to connect with her Maron became very rigid and dismissive in her worldview.
I like the fluff, but I also like that we get some intelligent drama in a yuri story for once instead of the usual light-haired MC has to save the melancholy dark-haired love-interest from her life.

TBF Oguri's character setting is p much "actually worse at interpersonal stuff than Yuki plus borderline autistic" so, yeah.

Oguri is by far the worst character in this manga. All she does is mope around for no particular reason and she has this whacked out mindset that revolves around the idea that there's a clear racial divide between humans and catulus despite the manga never showing any discrimination of the sort. In short, Oguri is pretty much just a maron (funny haha pun) who's only reason as to why she cannot forge connections with humans is set in a nonexistent stereotype.

I’ve been getting pretty pissed with Oguri. I know she’s been through something, but she’s just being all depressed even tho there’s nothing to be depressed about. The only time something racist happened was in Yuki’s flash back, where a teacher just separated the kids from Yuki for one simple action. And, all she ever does is reserve herself and hide the fact that she’s a catalyst. There’s nothing bad going on, she’s brought this down on her self. Overall, she is just not putting in any effort to move on, and is just blaming racism on her situation. She’s perfectly capable of doing better, but it’s just a slight trauma holding her back. In conclusion, good character writing but she is just pissing me off so much.
