I know it is old comment but still, don't just look at upsides only, they would be terrible for military, or at least open confrontations, for the exact same reasons, night vision and enchanced hearing means flashbang is times more deadly for them, real gunshots not even mentioning artillery and explosions would be horrible for them too, not being able to cool fast enough with sweating means they have terrible stamina for long term duties like marches
At best they can do recon, guarding duty as detectors not combatants, and maybe medics maybe some can be snipers
