Wow.... this MC is so self aware of her own faults, never thought she'd regard herself as the villain for staying passive...

Selena continues to be one of the best webcomic MCs.

...ah yes, the prodigal son is back.

Why is she set for the ending of the book.. she still thinks that Letio and the Prince are characters in a book instead of her reality 😫
Everyone has obviously shown a different personality from the one in the book..theyre humans buddy..

But I was thinking, she already changed the story bc she’s not Celestine so she can’t be sure everything will go as in the novel!

Btw thank you so much for the mass update !! 💕

Was the story she read so bare and basic that it describes nothing of the characters when she read it?

I am imagining that its on the level of writing as a simple children's story of a knight rescuing a prince from a dragon.

Only the events talked about and nothing of the characters... if that is the case then why was she reading that?

Finally, she becomes self-aware that he was only portrayed as the villain, it only took 20 chapters.

I'm glad she finally came to this conclusion. She was honestly starting to annoy me a bit tbh but I'm glad it didn't take like 50 chapters for her to realize that she shouldn't keep evaluating his character with her limited knowledge and understanding of him from the novel. I thought she would have figured it out after seeing how different the novel's female lead is in reality, but ig that mostly served to make her start doubting her characterizations of these ppl from what she knew of them from the novel.

@cheeseisbest I think it was her just being in denial and not wanting to admit that he isn't inherently a bad person. I'm pretty sure she was aware of things pretty early on, but her "knowing" that Ignis is gonna eventually (Read: Supposedly) become a villain and eventually die made her want to distance herself from him. I mean, not everyone wants to get attached to someone they "know" is gonna become a shithead and die relatively soon. That's like seeing broken glass in the middle of a hallway and willingly walking through it barefoot despite knowing it's there, painfully cutting your feet in the process. Of course, the flipside is that you can walk over broken glass just fine if you are careful and aren't stupid, and the same applies to this situation (don't be stupid), so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm glad she's coming around, it was getting frustrating seeing her piece of dedicated to the story when she herself already changed it. I mean originally she was supposed to be at home and her brother was in her place, so that shows that everything around her is not static. Even if he is the villain, perhaps someone that can tell him no could help.

I'm glad she finally realized that the moment she entered the academy the story already changed
