Man shit is getting real, also Denji needs Pochita to live, he was dying of some disease before he became a hybrid.

Pretty sure that plot point got dropped a long time ago but knowing this author it genuinely might be like the most important bit of lore in the entire series by the end of this. It was brought up for like a single page before promptly being rendered inconsequential considering Pochita fuses with Denji after he gets dismembered by the Yakuza boss and zombie devil.

For those who forgot Denji coughs up blood and mentions offhandedly that his mom had a heart disease that made her cough up blood and that's all that we hear about that. Nothing else before or after even references it. It's a Chekov's gun waiting to fire.
