This has been talked about a lot, but I dont think people are as scared of devils as they are of concepts like age, darkness, falling etc.

If you mean the liver and nails stuff, that's just standard devil contract powers. They volunteered their bodies to it, ofc it can take any part it wants. The Fox devil took Aki's skin for instance.

People CAN still die without aging, it's just not a guarantee. It'll be harder to find peace with mortality when there's the POSSIBILITY you could have lived forever, if not for some random accident or disease or just some psycho with a knife.

Unless you're talking about a "young people aren't afraid of death because something something brain development development" angle, in which case I'll remind you that "Aging Devil" isn't a perfect translation, and "Old Age Devil" is more accurate. The difference implies that without him, people would still reach "full" maturity.

Yes obviously... And that doesn't change the fact that the older you are, the more death will be on your mind. As your body ages and literally breaks down, it serves as a constant reminder that death is coming for you. Someone who will never experience old age simply won't have that constant anxiety. They'll still fear death of course, but it won't define their existence as much as it does ours simply because they'll have a fighting chance against it. It stands to reason that would weaken Death devil.
