I think Nanao's big advantage here is that she just likes him. She's not concocting situations in which they have a destined love, or dreaming of marriage, or anything like that. She's into him and wants to see where things go, no more and no less. That means she's also way less worried about messing up than the others are, so she can just... go for it. If it doesn't work out, she'll no doubt be sad, but she's not going to be heartbroken or anything like that. The other three have just been setting themselves up for disappointment and building things up in their heads to the point that I kinda doubt any of the three would ever actually take a step forward on their own.

Yeah i cant really say that im rooting for anyone but the transfer student i gotta be honest. She realized that she was in love with someome and instantly acted on that, thats more respectable than im used to from japanese romcoms. She also seems nice enough as a bonus and they have good chemistry.
(Also im biased cause i keep saying for almost every romcom i read that simply telling the person youce fallen for you love them would solve all the problems and she used that move frame 1)
