Im happy there's an in lore reason MC avoids romance
He doesn't just run away from romantic advancements for no reason like other romcom mcs
Adds to his character
Also bring back his chuunibyou cringe
Gives him personality
We've only really seen it in flashbacks

I feel like his little sister is either going to be a massive & overbearing brocon, or a proper & malignant antagonist for him and his own person (not-romance) story arc.

I really hope it's the latter because the former would be tired as all hell and would take away from what's already going on with Nanao & the Heroines Three.

But I also know better than to hold my breath.

Glad Amane got some wind in her sails, though.
I'm also glad she turned around and gone new side herself and now she is more determined to get him I wonder if she will convince the other heroines to put in more of an effort

Japanese schools have that authority in the sense that many of them either outright ban students from having jobs or require permission from their parents and the school's administration, and the ones that do allow it often have strict criteria, too. They want the students to primarily focus on academia and club activities.

Part of this is also because Japanese schools are deeply protective of their "reputation", and view (and expect) their students to be something akin to representatives. This is one of the major reasons why Japanese students wear their uniforms while commuting to and from school, while also making them easily identifiable in public (and to school staff, authoraties, etc.), establishing community trust, etc.

Anyway, even though sensei there is strict he seems like a decent chap, even supportive of her so long as she passes her classes. She held up her end of the agreement to pass her classes to continue modelling, and it's not a bad thing. You never know what the future has in store. Someone in a hypothetical similar situation could eventually end up getting injured, or be unable to pursue that kind of career in the future, and making sure they at least have the foundations of math, science, language and history under their belt helps prepare them for alternative routes to make a living when they graduate.

Not like I'm wholeheartedly excusing asian school culture though, there is definitely some issues with it, especially the hours and often insane expectations that border on torture in some instances. Compromises like the one in this story though aren't so bad, though, and benefit the students too. It's not fun being ignorant, unable to do simple calculations when trying to get a job, for example, or having a reading/literacy level on par with middle schoolers while you're 20+.

Everything in moderation and all that
Stuff like black company, fear of spread a bad reputation of you preventing you from leaving. Crazy work hours, taking in others job responsibilities etc. work/life balance is crap there I mean when they fall asleep in the office and don't go home isn't that saying something.

The priority in Asian countries seems to be ok work and the respect especially if it's a full time (perm) position, the feel of stability is greatly desired while family life seems to inevitably take back seat. The exact opposite of western where generalist we work just so we can afford family, or move closer to our ideal. Of course there are workaholics and career job climber's

Nanaocchi the goat
Bringing Amane from it's so Amaneover to it's so Amaneback :meguupog: The Amanesmile must be protected
The black makes me suspicious
But then again she probably sees some problem he's having that no one else seems to notice.
Like a massive self confidence issue that's hidden behind that shallow act.

NGL though I like her way better just because she's actually trying to face the MC

I have read one or two of these before, yes.

I know I am all but certain to be disappointed, I just think a change of scenery would be nice.

Damn, bros parents are pretty stupid assuming a middle schooler given a single try at managing a business would produce any results that amount to anything other than luck.

I can see it happening in real life I guess, only if the story criticises his parents and their methods at some point. However if the story reinforces the idea that it was a good way to test for philanthropic proficiency and/or that something like talent in such an area is really a thing, I will drop this series.

Mostly a pet peeve of mine, but for good reason I believe.

This bit about uniforms is complete nonsense.

Students wear uniforms while commuting because it's the clothes they're wearing for the day. And it's entirely normal to do so across the world.

It isn't nonsense, that's a large part of part of why it's done. Using the rest of the world as reasoning is dishonest. Every culture is distinct.

Convenience being a benefit is true, but there is that cultural aspect of accountability, safety, school pride, unity, etc. that is undeniably in place in Japan.

Choosing your billion dollar companies successor based on a project done by a pair of middle school students? That is less rigor and effort than my high school put into choosing a valedictorian.

nanao continues to be the best character in this, i dont completely buy her explanation of softening izumi up to romance, but if we get her lifting up the others only to win anyway, it would be super funny
also if we do end up seeing his sister, and she is a brocon, i hope its less "I am genuinely in love with my brother" and more "our parents are awful and youre the only other person who understands, please dont leave me alone."
anyway, girls ranked in order of chances
1. Nanao - She's the only one actively going after him (until now that is)
2. Amane - She is "just" a friend and after these last 2 chaps I think she has a genuine chance at getting with him
3. Haru - There's a pretty big gap between her and Amane, but there is a path where she could stand a chance (drop the tsun, go full dere)
4. Hakua - Sister-zoned herself, she could play the fiance angle but I doubt it would work
