From what I know there was an ownership issue with the publisher, since the contract between Yong and FOXTOON(the publisher) ended there has been some legal issues. Yong mentioned in a post in 2018 that they will be working on a new series, which I assume is this, and after that there might be a continuation of Black Haze.
I really love Black Haze so I am hoping this indefinite hiatus will end soon, lets keep praying!
