@Riger Same reason you often see modern pills with screw tops and sunglasses in manga that shouldn't have them. Its easier to draw things they know how to draw than it is to use fitting clothing. Its little plot holes made when adapting things into manga form that never had visual elements.

Sometimes the author will just forget modern stuff is modern though.
