I'm a little mad the teacher didn't even notice the kids saying she was copied. Changing the colours isn't enough to justify copying the design and position and just swapping out cat for a dog.
@riflow What is he supposed to do about it? None of them can prove it was copied (there's any number of incidents where people have come up with similar ideas before either of these kids got to them here, every reason in the world to assume it was a coincidence until proven otherwise and ain't nobody investigating some elementary school art contest that closely), and it's different enough that you could compare it to DC and Marvel "stealing" character ideas from each other all the time to get a trademark on their own version of something if she did "copy it." He'd probably just anger the dog hero girl's parents and risk his own job over something nobody can do anything about to begin with.
Ahh, that kind of kid who cynically appeals to what adults like. I think later in life you wind up regretting things like that. Or maybe you don't remember it at all, haha.
But michiru's dad will probably still have these drawings, somewhere.
