He is showing criminal behavior this early, and his parents doesn't know this to tell him that it is wrong to stalk a girl. His friends doesn't know this behavior either he keep it a secret, or he is not so friendly with his class mate. If its the latter, its another red flag. An anti social behavior, or at the very least, an emerging anti social tendency.

The protagonist is a middle schooler, and a first year I think, so he is like 13 or so, doubt you could call him a beta.
Especially when he is being very proactive for his age. Guy is simply fucking up because he is clumsy.
