Could be either way, I guess. My take on it was that he tried to frantically explain that he was having a dream and none of it was conscious behavior.

I haven't seen this story included in the digital copy I have of the 1st volume. Instead, there are two different stories in the omake: a 7-pages story and a 2-pages one (more like an illustration + 1 page story). They were translated to Spanish by a group in MangaDex.
