I really like the Souta right now who is now more focused on just enjoying and becoming better in his role in volleyball.
Thinking he was rejected by Asahi actually made him a better person overall and kind of made him dedicated and focused on his beloved volleyball. He actually also is an enabler now and it seems he wants to see Taiyou surpass his own limits too - training him in ways that even Taiyou is not aware of. It is also funny to see that Asahi is being annoyed because she thinks Souta is brushing off the confession he himself made and annoyed that somehow she is the only one left affected by it
Ain't this rom com?...instead of delving into the story...author straight up said "nah fuck that...lets make him a sigma...no bitches no romance..just grinding all day"
i like how the pace is kinda weird, sometimes grind, sometimes romance, you can skip a year because when you remember highschool, it feels like that: a jumbles mess of memories sorta related
